In my search for statistics around Dubai's population based on location, I have uncovered a few things that are interesting. Their statistics site, http://www.dsc.gov.ae/EN/Themes/Pages/Reports.aspx?TopicId=23 , has several reports listed. The main ones are as follows:
Active population movement during the day
Population by Sex
Population By Sex And Age Groups at the Census
Activity population Movement During the Daytime
Age-specific Fertility Retes and Tota Fertility Rete by Nationality
Marriage Contracts and Divorce Certificates By Nationality
The problem with these reports is that none of them seem to list out what portions of their population are actually located in rural areas vs urban areas. Although Dubai is primarily urban, there are rural areas in the country. I just haven't been able to find any information out there regarding the population by geography. I did notice that their population is only about 23 percent female. I guess Dubai isn't the best place to look for a date :-)
Hopefully in the coming weeks I will be able to uncover some information about the location of their population.
